Sneak Preview - Featuring Conor Jacobson

June, 2026, Cody Wyoming

Featuring Wyoming baroque violinist Conor Jacobson with harpsichord accompaniment in a program of works by Biber, Marini and Muffat.

Conor Jacobson grew up on a farm near Pavillion, Wyoming. He began studying violin when he was four years old. Soon after and continuing through high school, with the support and encouragement of his family, he would make a weekly trip with his grandfather to Casper for violin lessons.

At the age of thirteen, he began performing frequently throughout the state in chamber groups and as a soloist. He continued musical studies at Casper College and the University of Arizona before deciding to pursue his interest in historically informed performance practice (HIP) at the world renowned early music department

of the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, The Netherlands. There he spent the next four years studying the specialized and diverse historical, technical and philosophical approaches to the music ranging from the late Renaissance to the Classical eras with emphasis on the Baroque period. During this time as a student, he was able to receive lessons and coaching from, and perform with many of the leading teachers and performers in the early music field. Professionally, he has performed extensively in the Netherlands as well as in numerous concerts in Belgium, France, Germany, and Chile. Ever a country boy at heart, Conor returned to Wyoming, much preferring the slower tempo! While still remaining active as a performer, he is

increasingly involved with teaching, and remains devoted to family and farm.
